At TKH AI, I replaced Jira and Confluence with Odoo for 200+ users across two countries, connecting projects, timesheets and billing. I built approval workflows, upgraded MCP-enabled AI-tool access and continued supporting the team after rollout.

The challenge
TKH AI's 200+ person team across the Netherlands and Poland logged hours in Jira, documented work in Confluence and handled billing separately. The goal was one system for AI services and SaaS subscriptions; the main challenge was involving staff across the business in the transition.
My approach
Working as an independent contractor via Upwork over 3–6 months, remote, I personally handled the Odoo implementation and custom development on TKH AI-managed infrastructure. I migrated Jira issues and Confluence pages with scripts and manual cleanup, prepared detailed manuals in Odoo Knowledge, and worked with department heads before onboarding users. I continued supporting and improving the system after rollout.
What I built
- Sales, Invoicing, HR, Timesheets, Helpdesk and Project apps for a two-country team
- A shared knowledge base to replace Confluence
- Timesheet-to-invoice workflow
- Connected sales orders, projects, timesheet entry and invoices through the standard Odoo billing flow
- Recurring subscription billing for AI services and SaaS products
- Custom purchase-request management with departmental approvals; onboarding/offboarding with department-specific tasks; and ticket-style expense management with approvals based on claim amounts
- Dashboards for business, team, project, expense and ticket management
- Detailed Odoo Knowledge manuals, department-head meetings and ongoing onboarding support
- Upgraded earlier MCP server work for TKH AI's Odoo 19 setup, enabling task tracking, timesheet entry and day-to-day Odoo work through employees' AI tools
- MCP access uses SSO and existing Odoo permissions, with delete operations blocked
Results and delivery status
- 200+ people moved off Jira and Confluence onto one system
- Both Jira and Confluence fully replaced by Odoo
- Connected project time to invoicing and configured recurring subscriptions
- Improved day-to-day efficiency, reported qualitatively without a measured percentage
- Employees can use AI tools for the documented Odoo tasks through MCP; broader action coverage and adoption counts are unspecified
